New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Frederick H. Booth, and Madbury Police Chief Joseph E. McGann, Jr., announce further developments in the investigation of the death of Joseph Close, age 19, in Madbury, New Hampshire.

On Monday, November, 17, 2008, Dr. Jeanne Duval of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the body of Joseph Close. The preliminary findings indicate that Close suffered a stab wound to the chest which caused his death.

The State Police Major Crime Unit and Madbury Police Department continue to investigate the matter.
