Sgt. Jeffrey Ladieu is a detective with the Major Crime Unit of the New Hampshire State Police. Sgt. Ladieu joins the Cold Case Unit with 6 years of homicide experience and 14 years as a law enforcement officer in this State. He has overseen the investigation of many homicide cases during his career.
Trooper Michael Kokoski is a detective with the Major Crime Unit of the New Hampshire State Police. He was assigned to the unit in 2008, and has been involved in numerous homicide investigations, to include both current and cold cases. He was previously assigned to the Troop F barracks in northern New Hampshire.
Detective Robert Freitas was hired by the Attorney General's Office to work on the Cold Case Unit after he retired from Manchester Police Department. Detective Freitas has 24 years of service to that city. He worked on many homicides during his career and was assigned by the Manchester Police Department as their point person for cold case investigations.
In addition to these individuals, other members of the Attorney General's Office and the State Police will assist with cold case investigations on an "as-needed" basis.
Detectives from the cities of Concord, Dover, Keene, Manchester, Nashua, and Portsmouth will continue to investigate the unsolved homicides which have occurred in their jurisdictions. The Cold Case Unit will coordinate with those cities and be available to assist those jurisdictions in their investigations as requested by those cities.
