Corinthian Colleges, Inc. Settlement

CORINTHIAN COLLEGES, INC. SETTLEMENT
WITH
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
AND
NEW HAMPSHIRE ATTORNEY GENERAL

The U.S. Department of Education recently determined that Everest Institute, Everest College, Everest University, (“Everest”), Heald College and WyoTech, all subsidiaries of Corinthian Colleges, Inc., published misleading job placement rates for many programs between 2010 and 2014. The specific programs and enrollment periods can be found at StudentAid.gov/ev-wy-findings (https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/sites/default/files/ev-wy-findings.pdf Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol) and StudentAid.gov/heald-findings (https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/sites/default/files/heald-findings.pdf Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol). Students who enrolled in the programs while those rates were published and paid for the programs with federal Direct student loans are eligible to have those loans cancelled.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is working with the U.S. Department of Education to assist students who attended those programs.

Based on the U.S. Department of Education, Everest, Heald and WyoTech’s records, if you attended at least one of those programs, you may be eligible to have the federal Direct student loans that paid for that program at Everest or WyoTech FORGIVEN.

If those student loans are forgiven, you do not have to make any more payments on the loans and payments you did make will be refunded.

To apply for loan forgiveness, you need to fill out a federal loan cancellation application in one of the following ways:

  • Print and complete the attestation form from the link below and mail it to the address listed on the form
